Attn: All Live-In Caregivers in Washington State
To All Live-in Caregivers in Washington State If you are a live-in caregiver who has been paid a small hourly wage by the State of Washington to take care of a family member or friend, please contact me immediately about collecting the back wages that may be due to you! The Supreme Court of the State of Washington recently ruled that the Department of Social and Health Services has been treating certain paid caregivers unfairly. This ruling applies only to those live-in caregivers paid by the state in one of their long-term care programs such as COPES and Medicaid Personal Care. A class-action lawsuit has been filed against the Department of Social and Health Services. If you are eligible to join the class action, it will cost you nothing and you have much to gain by collecting back wages. Please share this with any other eligible caregivers that you know, and contact me for further details at Jlalberts03@comcast.net. Judy L. Alberts Live-in caregiver for adult daughter (epilepsy, brain damage, etc.) and father (dementia, CHF, etc.) Hoquiam, Washington
