How to plant the seeds of happiness
BY:MARY ELIZABETH TERZELLA
According to an old Chinese proverb, “He who plants a garden plants happiness.”
It seems this ancient wisdom about tilling the soil holds true today, according to recent research. “Those involved in gardening find life more satisfying and feel they have more positive things happening in their lives,” confirms a study of urban vegetable gardeners published in The Journal of Nutrition Education. You may, too, so try flexing your green thumb. Plant some fragrant flowers or grow tomatoes for salads and sauces.
