time for self
It is trully difficult to find time for your self when you are always needed. I have made an effort to go to the gym or go for a walk. It is a big stress reliever. It is also my quiet self talking time. Its good to know your not alone.

Good point, Sandra. I especially agree with the need to talk to oneself. No one is a better cheerleader or has a better perspective on what's going on in your life than you. What I find helps when I'm at the gym, is going when I know a friend will be there. We use each other as a sounding board while on the treadmill. Exercise our bodies while exercising our need to vent, plus we get to hear what someone else might think about a given situation and bounce ideas off one another. Talk about multi-tasking! It's my best part of the week.

I've been a caregiver to my husband with stage 4 prostate cancer since january 2005. I now am at home with him 24 hrs a day. At times we have some very tender moments and at times we have some very tense moments due to frustration, confusion, and feelings. He is 66 years old, I am 62 years old. There are times on any given day where he appears very bored and even lonely. I feel very bad for him. He's fighting very hard to be normal as he can, yet he knows in his mind he needs help with a lot of things.
